New Delhi: Seven Hurriyat Conference leaders, including senior leader of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Javed Ahmed Mir, were today released from Jodhpur jail following Centre''s initiative to usher in peace in Jammu and Kashmir. Besides Mir, other leaders released from the jail are G M Gulzar, M A Bhat, Mohammed Maqbool Sofi, Azad Ahmed, Abdul Rashid and Khazer Mohammed Ganai. After the release, Mir said the Centre should enter into unconditional, fair and open dialogue with Kashmiris. ''We want a peaceful solution of Kashmir issue but are opposed to any conditional offer for talks,'' Mir said here, adding ''there should be a sense of responsibility from all quarters of government.'' All the leaders were arrested in August-September last under the Public Safety Act. Only two more Hurriyat Conference leaders now remain to be released. The Centre started the process of releasing Hurriyat Conference leaders from April three when Chairman of the Hurriyat Conference Syed Ali Shah Gilani and two other senior leaders were set free.
