Start unconditional talks with political parties: J&K outfit

13 November 1999
The Hindustan Times

Jammu And Kashmir Democratic Forum (JKDF) has urged the Centre to start an unconditional dialogue with various mainstream political parties and representatives of All Party Hurriyat Conference to resolve the Kashmir crisis.

Supporting similar views expressed by political leaders like Mufti Mohammed Sayeed and Saifuddin Soz, the JKDF chief Bhushan Bazaz in a statement has warned that any further delay in finding a solution to lingering Kashmir issue will further complicate the issue and claim more innocent lives.

He felt that a "constructive and unconditional" dialogue was necessary to bring peace in the trouble-torn valley. All political parties, groups and individuals in the State should work together to resolve the problem, he added. Mr Bazaz described the recently held elections in Kashmir as a farce as large scale irregularities were committed by the administration.
