JAMMU: India should go in for a full-fledged war with Pakistan in view of that country's misadventures along the Line of Control and within Jammu and Kashmir, state chief minister Farooq Abdullah said here today, reports PTI.

"We will have to open a war with that country, which is not only aiding and abetting terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir but also fiddling with the border of our country in this state," he told reporters after an Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA) function in honour of Kargil martyrs.

"I recommend war with Pakistan to government to India and in this direction I will talk to the President, the Prime Minister and the home minister soon," he said, adding "this will only bring peace to Jammu and Kashmir." The state was suffering badly on all fronts due to Pakistan, he said, adding first it was militancy sponsored by them, now it was infiltration from across the border.

When the state was returning to normalcy after a long spell of militancy, Pakistan had again disturbed peace along the border, he added.
