Shabir Shah Admits Shortcomings

PROMINENT FREEDOM LOVING LEADAR, SHABIR SHAH, IN AN INTERVIEW TO C.N.S., ACCEPTED THAT HIS POPULARITY HAS DIMINISHED DUE T0 HIS PERSONAL SHORTCOMINGS. HE SAID THAT HE COULD NOT GIVE A CONCRETE PROGRAMME TO THE PEOPLE, RESULTING IN THEIR DISENCHANTMENT. WHILE REPLYING TO A QUESTION, REGARDING APHC, SHABIR SHAH SAID THAT THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE IS THE FINAL WILL. IF THE PEOPLE OF J&K REPOSE-FAITH IN APHC, HE WOULD SECOND THEIR OPINION. HOWEVER, SHABIR SHAH MAINTAINED THAT HE IS READY TO RE-ENTER THE APHC, IF THE PARTY CONCEDES ALL HIS PRE-CONDTIONS IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOLUTION OF KASHMIR ISSUE.

SHABIR, SHAH CLAIMED THAT HE IS IN FAVOUR OF INCLUSION OF KASHMIRIS AS A PARTY TO THE ISSUE AND ONLY INDIA AND PAKISTAN CANNOT DECIDE ABOUT THE FUTURE OF KASHMIRIS. WHEN ASKED ABOUT HIS DISASSOCIATION WITH HIS CLOSE CONFIDANT, NAVEEN KHAN, SHAH EXPRESSED IGN0RANCE ABOUT SUCH REPORTS. SHAH SAID THAT THE PEOPLE ARE FED UP WITH THE INTERNAL SQUABBLES OF PEOPLES' LEAGUE AND HINTED THAT IN NEAR FUTURE, HE MAY COME OUT WITH SOME FRESH IDEAS AND WANTS TO FLOAT A NEW PARTY. IN THIS CONECTION HE IS IN CONSULTATION WITH HIS FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES. SHABIR SHAH REITERATED THAT HE IS GOING TO CONDUCT A MARCH ON OCTOBER 24 AND 27 ALONG WITH HIS PARTY WORKERS FROM LAL CHOWK AND WOULD SUBMIT A MEMORANDUM AT THE U.N. OBSERVERS OFFICE AT SONWAR SRINAGAR.
