Jammu: The Jammu and Kashmir Journalists Union (JKJU) today condemned the ban imposed by militant, organisations on some Srinagar based newspapers.
At an emergency meeting, JKJU passed a resolution describing the ban as threat on freedom of Press. The union also demanded immediate lifting of ban for smooth and free functioning of the Press. They also expressed foil solidarity with Kashmir journalists and assured them of foil cooperation.
Meanwhile, the offices of Kashmir newspapers remained closed for the eighth day today. The newspapers published in the Valley have suspended their publication demanding lifting of ban on three Urdu dailies, imposed last week.
